Outreach
At Horizon Christian Fellowship, we consider Outreach as anything we can do to reach the lost and share the love of God in the person of Jesus Christ. It is our chance to let other believers that do not already have a home church, get to know us. Outreach ministry is a large part of our vision at Horizon Christian Fellowship, which is supported by the following three Bible verses on which our vision is based:
- Win: ". . . Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
- Disciple: " 'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20)
- Send: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
We want to reach out that we may win people to Jesus Christ.
We want to disciple other believers to win others to Jesus Christ.
We want to send disciples out for Jesus Christ to win the lost for Jesus Christ.
We have many different Outreach opportunities and events at Horizon: Bible study at Bega Park and Clement Park during the summer months, which includes worship and a food potluck, concerts, Pastor Dave teaches bible study on FM radio 89.7 (Grace FM), a summer BBQ and baptism at Bear Creek Lake Park, and other events that are planned outside of the church building. At the church we have: Harvest carnivals in October, women’s Christmas dinners, Vacation Bible School (VBS) each summer, separate men and women's bible studies, and a host of other opportunities.
