Horizon Christian Fellowship

Update to the Coronavirus COVID19

March 18, 2020

The spread of the coronavirus has caused a number of changes. But one thing has not changed, the sovereignty of God. He is still on the throne. We may temporarily not be able to meet as the whole church but we are still the church and are exactly where the Lord wants us.

Because of all of the changes in life as we know it, Horizon’s Sunday and Wednesday services will stream via Facebook Live on the Horizon Facebook page. The services are on Sundays at 10am and Wednesdays at 6:30pm. During the Sunday service, we will stream worship, announcements and the Sunday message.

For those of you who would like to remain in fellowship, there are four families who are willing to open up their homes on Sunday mornings during the service to participate in the service together. Children’s ministry will be provided at each host location to have a lesson with the children. If you are healthy, call the church office at 303-347-0383 for address information. Another option is to let your friends, neighbors and co-workers know that you are having church service in your home and invite them to participate in the service.

The leaders of the Junior High and High School students will contact them with information regarding their ministries.

The EQUIP classes are on hold but the Men’s Bible Studies will continue to meet on Tuesdays at 6am and Saturdays at 7am at the church.

During this time, if you need additional resources for your children, access the Harvest Children’s Ministry page on Facebook by liking the page.

If you are not receiving our online bulletin, you can sign up on our website or Facebook page to receive it.

This is the time for the church to help those in need. The coronavirus has stirred up new fears, anxieties and even widespread panic. Continue to be the light. Check on your neighbors. Also, Gift Cards are available at the host homes on Sundays or in the office Monday-Wednesday next week. Give them to a person who seems to be really going through it. If you are sick or elderly, and need groceries, please call the church at 303-347-0383 so that we can help.

We want to be a church that prays 24/7. Church – pray without ceasing. Pray for one another. Pray for our community. Pray for our city. Pray for our state. Pray for our nation. Pray for our world. You can send your prayer requests to us by going to, select the prayer box and send us your prayer request.

You can continue to give tithes and offerings through online giving on our web page or by dropping it off at the church and putting it in the mail slot on the north side of the building.

The Lord tells us to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7

You remain in our prayers,

Lonnie Trujillo
